Hey guys!
I know that we have a rule that says, no bumping old threads or starting up the same topics. However, since new members are joining every now and then, some of them would want to discuss old topics. So if you want to chat to others about a old topic but its either locked, too many of the same kind, old, then what do you do? So basically, you just don't bring it up? Cuz i think most of us are running out of ideas for new topic, that's why the usual topics keep comming up...
Can you please consider this request? ;D

i've thought about that too. new members may want to share their oppinions about an old topic. but when they bump it, it's locked. if they start a new thread for that topic, it's also locked because that topic was started some time before :S
they can just feel sorry for themselves that they didn't find this forum earlier.
what's ur request tho?? allow bumping old threads?

uhh I think in the rules or someone said that you can bump a old thread for a really good post (or whatever) to continue the thread. but if you bump up a thread from 2005 or something. then it's most likey to get locked. since no one what's to talk about it for about a year.

Yeah, you can only bump if you have something new to add (something very good) that might keep the discussion open, but you need to PM a mod for that.
Btw, the topic name is... not normal, I'll edit a little.

Three months normally without anyone else posting, then its officially locked even if a mod doesnt lock it.

No, not even that. Just make it unless something new is being discussed, it gets locked. Forget about the time, There could be an Akai Shuuichi thread about 6 months ago, then gets bumped as new files comes out and new things can be discussed about Akai Shuuichi.

Don't listen to him, it's not quite true. Time DOES matter. Some threads are not to be bumped, and you'll get a warning right away if you bump.

To better clarify the statement above, if the thread hasn't had a post in a month and a half (sometimes two months total if I'm lenient enough on the matter), if someone is caught bumping, they WILL get a warning. Of course, we tally up your warnings in a special place, too... So in the event you do it again, we know the necessary procedures to deal with you. ^^
Everything else Lucy's said is true. There's no point in bumping a topic about 'Do you like Ai?!' or making a new one since there is no post value. If the topic was about secrets of Ai or something and If It's 3 months old and you had something to contribute that has been revealed in the manga or something, you could PM a mod and bring it back up.
Anyway, I don't see why this topic wasn't locked in the last post, since the suggestion has been technically overlooked by the staff until a short while ago due to the fact that It's pretty much something we shouldn't have to deal with. If you have anything more to add; say, questions for instance on the matter, feel free to sum them up in the next post cause this should be locked soon. ~ Fruits

I never said it was like that, I was suggesting that time shouldn't matter. As long as the topic sparks some new interest and the topic has kick-started again. I never said time didn't matter now.

I think I agree with triplelite There should be a solution for this; otherwise the forum will freeze if no one takes an action
