I totally hope that...we will allow to bump the old threads, of course with interesting comment or something or new info to add...
When sometimes we found some topics is interesting but it is already there...we can't open a new topic or bump the old one either...I sure other members will agree of that...
New members is added day by day...some of them maybe busy or they have limitation time during online...I sure they have other comments to add in as well....

i agree with you. i feel sorry for the newcomers, obviously, they would want to talk about the usual topics like Whos your fav character and why? or something like that. We should make a special board for newcomers where they can bump all they like and then after like a few months, they can access the older boards

^ thank you thank you...
In my opinion, we need to ask the mod first...of course...that's the rules...then if someone reply...after 1 week...still nobody reply, can locked that threads BUT that's quite pity for newcomers because they have nothing to discuss...

Sure it will not freeze today or tomorrow … Being old like a dinosaur makes you see your friends expire and many webs freezes one by one Freezing takes years until it totally be obvious for members.. at least two years.. You can see the Symptoms like : Many members registerated with no post Or last post in some boards stays for months Some boards has 3 or 4 active threads only oldest members had just disappeared a new threads takes three or four days till the first replay active threads has no relation with the board's main subject ….etc I will add the reasons later *now gotta go before my boss turn back*

Why Spiritgal304 locked that thread ? I thought if someone post after him (tweak) is considered ok...

omg, quit locking the threads. I wanted to add something which would have probably made the thread active again! Spiritgal, I don't approve of what you're doing.

^ WAIT triplelite !!! Don't be so sure what u doing ?
I think mod locked that thread got their own reasons... If u reply something which is over 2 months is considered as necromancy...
BUT if you really want to reply, u need to ask the approval of mod/admin...
I think that was mod thinking...So better ask mod 1st. ;D

I’m just doing my job as a mod. Anytime I see a thread where the last post is a month or older and someone’s posted in it I’ll lock it. It’s in the rules. If I don’t lock them another mod will, trust me. Han-Ichi is right. If you want to reply to a thread where the last post is a month or more old you need to have approval from a mod.
Also I thought this thread would be locked sometime ago since all this has already been discussed to death.

Would be heaps more convienient if you left it open and see how it goes. If it goes dead even after the bump, leave it open. If more rules are broken after the bump, lock it.
If you did this, newbies would be making new topics and you'll lock it again because there has been another topic about it in the past. Again, this is not convenient.

Yeah, I was thinking about this too.
Sometimes people are not online for a while, and then they find the topics they want to talk in are locked, and then they can't start a new one.... >_< I mean, what should people do? close their mouth and not talk?
I think having a board where newbies andpeople who don't often come online can bump the threads. Just like the Members Online where the rules can be ignored... or something like that~ I mean, I've already seen at least 4 threads on Prince of Tennis, 'casue the last one died off, people just make a new one.

I agree with triplelite. This place is going to be dead if all the threads get locked all the time. I mean why not just make stickys of popular topics like " who is your favorite character?" or "ran or Ai!?" etc. and their, people who are new get to scream all they want how Heiji is the best, etc. yeah... A board where newbies can talk might be a good idea also. But I know that stuff like that would never happen here. :/

halfxasleep: (I'm refering to rule 15, where there's a loophole) I don't know about that - I find the rules fair... it's just that people don't understand they need to contact a mod to unlock a topic if they have a new angle. And if you don't want to do that you can always link to the old topics in your new thread and explain why yours is different. If we let noobs necromance all they want the forum would look like an utter mess, ne? Also, there is a thread for trying fonts out, etc. if I remember correctly.
