1. I suggest you delete everything that isn't related to Conan, if the people who chat on the Non-Conan board say this is a bad idea, that means they don't even care about talking about Conan. This is a forum for fans, not a forum for playing crappy forum games, talking about games, and talking to other users about stupid stuff to get your post count up.
2. Enforce every rule, rules aren't made to be broken, if you aren't going to enforce them then just delete them. Some of us read the rules and think, "Oh yay, we don't have to read cursing all day." only to find out that people curse without being punished.
3. Delete all of the inactive members and maybe check the box that says only Moderators can create accounts. This will make it easier to get active members, if people can just freely sign up they may only post once. You might want to delete all of the posts too, it will make the forum look cleaner.
4. If you are going to run this forum be online atleast once a day, I see moderators who post less than the members, you'd think the people running this forum should be the most active. I suggest you delete some of the moderators that never contribute so that when people look at this forum they don't get the idea that it is inactive.
5. Create a small button to give to bigger Detective Conan sites so they can put us on their affiliate list, this is a for sure way to get more members.
6. One of you domain owners, why don't you add a subdomain for this website with graphics, news updates, episode list, music downloads, and affiliates. If you have that, many fans will go to the website, you link this forum on there and they'll all be interested to chat with other fans. -If nobody is interested in running one, but is interested in hosting one, I'd be glad to run it.
I hope that maybe one admin or moderator can take these ideas into consideration before it is too late and the forum dies for good.
The third choice is the only no because if you vote no then you could care less about Detective Conan and only play the forum games because they are okay and up your post count.

i only agree to part of Number 3....but i think deleting all the Non conan related stuff is a bad idea...like i post on every board....
this forum is flooding with inactive newbies...if you look in the members section...so many ppl have less than 50 posts....
that was a pretty mean remark about the Moderators...i think they are okay because they are all nice...and as you can see, nearly all of them are over 16...that means that they have college and school to take care of...education is a first priority...not being active on forums

That's fine, but if they don't want to even come on the forum once a month then they shouldn't have power.

One thing about the number 3: How should moderators know if people want to create an account? Guests can't post!! And A LOT of people create accounts every day, we DO NOT have time to go around and create their accounts all day!! _._

2 Things. Number 6 is pretty Nice. And The One About Deleteing Unactive members. How would that help improve...it may lower us because we would have like 250 members...not 2000

I don't have time to delete members. It takes hours. Looking in the members list, clicking their name and see how many posts they have and when they registert, delete them or/and go on to the next. It's a pain in the ass to do, and besides, what difference does it make?
Besides, my site can be the site of the forum if anyone agrees, instead of making a whole new site... =/

Then stay out of those freaking boards. Do you think that this forum looks exactly like it did when it was first created? Do you think that all of us got together and made boards with nothing to do with Conan because we wanted too? Let me give you a little forum history, in the old days, the general forum was a mess. Pound had gone AWOL and random threads with nothing to do with Conan were flooding the General DC board. After abround 3-5 months, Pound came back and hanbed ownership over to Janni and most of the Staff you see today. The non-DC boards were created so members could talk about other stuff and so all the threads would be in one place. You don't want to talk about non-DC stuff? Then stay away from the southern half of the forum! No one os forcing you to go there. Just because someone goes to the Nom-DC board doesn't mean they don't care about Conan. Maybe the just want to talk with their friends here about other stuff besides DC. -_- Most successful forums have the main section, then a lower section for other stuff. Besides, who wants to talk about DC 24-7? 2. Enforce every rule, rules aren't made to be broken, if you aren't going to enforce them then just delete them. Some of us read the rules and think, "Oh yay, we don't have to read cursing all day." only to find out that people curse without being punished. f*** you. Do you know how hard and time consuming it is to go through every thread looking for broken rules and disruptive members? And FWI, there is a censor now ((which was in the rules)) that should be working. If it's not, PM a mod ((in the FAQ)) and tell them. We also trust members to PM us if there is a problem. There are less than 15 of us and we don't have the time, or man-power to enforce everything. 3. Delete all of the inactive members and maybe check the box that says only Moderators can create accounts. This will make it easier to get active members, if people can just freely sign up they may only post once. You might want to delete all of the posts too, it will make the forum look cleaner. We delete inactive members and clean up the forum once a year. Janni pretty much answered this so I won't go to into it. 4. If you are going to run this forum be online at least once a day, I see moderators who post less than the members, you'd think the people running this forum should be the most active. I suggest you delete some of the moderators that never contribute so that when people look at this forum they don't get the idea that it is inactive. Screw you. We have taken care of some moderators who weren't up to running this already. Give us a break will you? All of us have lives and real life has priority over this forum. The mods that are inactive? I'm not their mom. I can't make them post here. Most of us are spread out all over the world and it's hard to get on every day. While it's summer in this hemisphere, it may be winter in the other. 5. Create a small button to give to bigger Detective Conan sites so they can put us on their affiliate list, this is a for sure way to get more members. We've been hearing this a lot. I am for Janni having a link on her site. Maybe a button making contest? We had a website once, but it got taken down. Good suggestion. We'll discuss this. I hope that maybe one admin or moderator can take these ideas into consideration before it is too late and the forum dies for good. The third choice is the only no because if you vote no then you could care less about Detective Conan and only play the forum games because they are okay and up your post count. Again, shut up. Not everything is in black and white. You sound more and more like a n00b and a whiner as I read your post. -_-

Excuse you, I don't want to do any jobs for anybody. Haven't you seen many good members leaving. Do not give me that BS excuse about wanting to chat with their friends, I've seen the newest 10 posts all posted by one person on game threads.
As for the enforcing the rules, I see people cursing all the time, all they do is space the word or change the letters. You don't have to look for them, but I see rules being broken on threads that moderators and Admins posted on.
All I'm saying about the Moderators is that, why do they even want to be moderators if they haven't posted in two months and probably won't for another two months? They should just resign, why don't they? Maybe they like having their name on the list, maybe they haven't visited the forum in those two months, maybe they are lazy? Busy isn't an excuse because I've clicked on their profiles and most of them have been on within the last fifteen or so days.

If there is a mod I want to remove then it is Doc and/or SpyGirl.... they don't do any Mod jobs for a very long time as far as I can see =/ Besides, if this boards was only about Conan, it would be dead very soon since we already talked about almost everything. And people need to talk about other stuff sometimes. I don't see anything wrong in getting to know each other and have fun in game threads.

Excuse you, I don't want to do any jobs for anybody. Haven't you seen many good members leaving. Do not give me that BS excuse about wanting to chat with their friends, I've seen the newest 10 posts all posted by one person on game threads. So what? Those guys like playing games. I've never been into the whole game threads myself, besides, this issue has already been discussed and it was voted that we keep the game threads. As for the enforcing the rules, I see people cursing all the time, all they do is space the word or change the letters. You don't have to look for them, but I see rules being broken on threads that moderators and Admins posted on. What is with you and the cursing rule? Have you actually read the rules or announcements recently? After much debate, this was the compromise reached. Maybe they are sick of dealing with it all? Again, I can't do anything about that. Those people may have moved on, if you are really going to keep whining on about this I'll e-mail them and see if they will be continuing to come here.

Just let them stay, wouldn't want to piss you off more than I already have and finally someone that is not a fan of game threads.

I don't think game threads are bothering for the people... If you want to play - play, if you don't - you don't. I don't play either. *shrug* But Non-Conan is needed, pal =/
Naw. Inactive Members are going to be deleted sooner than you think. That I can promise. ¬¬ And about the cleaning, there was one a while ago. (was pretty tiring, i won't forget it anytime soon *shivers*)
Mods, who don't post much, huh. I've been to forums where the admin has 10-15 posts while everyone else have hundreds. To be a mod doesn't mean to be a spammer.

Just let them stay, wouldn't want to piss you off more than I already have and finally someone that is not a fan of game threads. Sorry, I'm not really mad at you. It just annoyed me how we get the same crap dished at us every couple of months. You might actually make a good moderator. The reason we do a board clean up once a year is because a single mod has to go through every thread past 3-6 pages and delete every single one. ((If there is an easier way, please tell me.)) It's time consuming and pretty boring.
