Ah! I had a thought! April Fools' in France is Poisson d'Avril, which means April fish! The tradition is for people to sneak up and stick pictures of fish on other people's backs without them noticing! Kaito would die if he were in France on that day.
Erm, well I think it's truly appropriate from Aoyama-sensei since Kaito is such a prankster and probably absolutely loves April Fools'...so this would balance it out, tee hee~

NO! that is not true. In one episode, he was with conan and there are many fishes in the valley. He is not scared of fishes!

God... why would a teenager be afraid of a small creature, namely, a fish... would that be really possible??? i cannot and would not believe it... I never saw a person, specifically a teenager who is afraid of fishes... what if he swam into the ocean and found thousands of fishes... i am sure for him he is really facing a big trouble... *LOL*

It is incredible how something so stupid as that "weak point" makes Kaito even more adorable ;D And as I recall how many fanfics I've read about his phobia and how everyone around him are trying to make him overcome it and how hard I laughed every time........

Well... I made up a thing for an rp... he got attacked by a dolphin as a kid is my story. lame but that is how I explain it.
Another one I heard of , in a fanfiction on fanfiction.net was that while playing hide and seek he fell into a koi pond and almost drowned. Thus he was afraid of fish, because all he could see and feel while drowning was the fish squirming around him.

I am going to look into this topic the only thing i can think about is remember in the past OVAs maybe he was allergic to fish her mother told him fish are ghosts or something like that I too is scared of fish because i thought fishes bite (LOL) Maybe it is the post above this post
