Here is the Rules that the moderators have created just for you! Don't you feel special. Since these took a lot of time and effort to create, please try not to break them. Use at least an eighth of that time and effort we put into these by keeping them. Thank you! ^__^
1. No Multiposting
If you need to reply to multiple users in a thread, do it within a single post. Denote who you're replying to by mentioning their name first. Don't make multiple consecutive posts. If another post appears while you are posting yours, use the edit button. Thats what it is there for. Use it.
2. No Offensive/Nudity Pictures:
If you don't think it's offensive go right ahead and share. But as soon as someone disapprove please remove it.
3. No Virus Sharing
Just don't. We have enough problems with our current ones.
4. No Flaming
Tearing into other users is not productive for anyone. If they have broken a rule, use the Report button. If they need to be pointed to the Rules & FAQ, point them to it, and leave it at that. Don't make me come after you. Repeated flames will result in a swift ban. It may be permanant. It may be temporary. Depending on your behavior. Don't tempt me.
5. No Offensive Language: There is a censor in place now. You can cuss but the censor will star it out. I wouldn't bother getting around it by typing fauk and asswhole, ect. It's just not worth the effort.
6. No Character Bashing:
You can express your opinions freely, but don't go overboard.
7. Post Threads in the Right Boards: Use your intellegence and put the threads in their correct place. We don't want to spend all days moving them.Before you start a new thread, make sure that the topic of your thread is best fitting in the forum you are posting to.
8. Flooding... Not everybody wants to sift through 50 posts about your parakeet just to see what the original topic was. You have PM and Members Online for all your flooding needs. See Members Online note for more info on flooding.
9. Arguments/Debates Please do not flood the forum by talking about it (unless the thread is for arguments/debates) please keep it to PM level or contact a moderator.
10. NO SPAM!!!
Spamming could be considered the following things:
-Pointless topics just for the pleasure of seeing your text.
-Posting with only smileys.
-Testing in random categories (testing is allowed in the testing thread)
-Posting topics/replies that have nothing to do with the category/topic.
11. Advertising: You may only advertise for your own site. Do not advertise to get money fx by advertising for something on eBay and so on. You must have at least 20 posts before you are allowed to advertise. You may only advertise for maximum 3 sites.
Only advertise on the advertisements board and in your signature - no torrents or other download links in your signature!
12.Dont use others nick name or sig avvie text etc... If you do, ask for permission of the nick/avvie/sig/text owner first.
13. Don't Repost Locked Threads
If threads get locked, they get locked for a reason - don't make new threads asking why it happened, and don't whine. Apologies are also unecessary. PM a moderator if you have to.
14. Don't Repost the Same Threads
Search for previous threads before posting a topic, especially if it's related to popular topics. Rehashes of old and frequently seen material will be locked if the poster doesn't have anything new to contribute.
Plus we get tired of seeing and discussing the same thing over and over. ((i.e. "whos ur fav chara?" "will shinichi choos ran or ai??" "how do i get a av?")) .........
15. Necromancy is Bad
Check the date on the thread before replying to it. If no new posts have been made for a number of days on a thread, it is dead; no one wants to talk about the topic anymore. This is not a hard and fast rule, but generally, a thread that is more than four days old is considered dead. If you have some truly meaningful input to add (not something like, "it sucks!"), then a revival is okay. Past the one or two week point, if you do want to reopen a discussion on an old thread, the best way to do it is to start a new thread with your new angle on the subject, and include a link to the old thread to indicate that you've already read it. If you don't have anything to contribute to an old topic, don't respond to it.
16. Read the FAQ!!!
Please do. It clears up a lot of things and saves us the trouble of answering questions over an over again.
17. ASK BEFORE POSTING JAPANESE FANART!!!
It is NOT allowed to post ANY Japanese fanart in this forum, without asking the artist for permission before posting!! Read this for more infomation.
18.Don't Quote Entire Posts or Pictures
When quoting a picture only quote the link instead of showing the whole picture. Showing the picture eats up a lot of the bandwith and slows down this forum.
Thanks to Kyubinaruto for the suggestion.
19. ONLY English Name On Threads And No 1337 Etc
Yeah well english speaking people here, english forum, then it's only english threads no 1337 or symbols that create a name
20.No Warez
Yup, no warezing: movies, music, anime etc... that is liscensed in the U.S. isnt allowed here. Even if you are from another country were it isn't liscensed you are not allowed to post it, because this is forum hosted in the U.S. which makes it illegal to post liscensed things that you download for free.
21. NO Hotlinking
No site likes being hotlinked. Upload the pictures to your own host like Tinypic, Imageshack
or
Imagecave.
22. Signatures
The maximum signature size is 200X500. If your signature is too massive, one of the staff will delete it and a message will be placed saying that you are not allowed to put up a signature for a period of 1-2 weeks. Removal of this message results in a swift ban.
Regulations:
1. Page Limit
The page limit is 200 pages.
2. Topic Names
Topic names should tell what your thread is about. If all it says is; "NOOOO!!" "plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111" "WTF" "look her!" a mod will change it.
Thanks to Recon
3. Members Online
Okay, the rules do not apply to one thread in this entire forum. That thread is Members Online. There you can break free of them and post anything you want. We wont stop you. If you would rather not risk having to gouge out your eyes because you saw something offense in there then do not enter. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK! For me I find it relaxing, not paying attention to the rules and spamming as much as I want.
~End~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There you go. Twenty-one rules for you to follow. Do that and you'll be fine. Break them andyou'll still be fine but you might have to face some consequences. Do't worry, we are not going to rip your head off every time you do break a rule. Just please respect that we set these up so everyone can enjoy this forum as much as possible.
Now, break them and be on the recieving end of my mod smack:
Why? Because you should know better and it is your fault if you have not read the rules.
