Kenta Connery's disease?

I reread some of MK last night and I wondered if anyone could tell me what disease the kid in the latest MK file really had?

He said he had to take pills against some headpain and that he had nightmares. The only two ways to solve his condition were pills or a very expensive surgery. The disease must have been serious, considering that Jack Connery couldn't take his kid with him.

With all those clues, what could it be?

I think he had a brain tumor, but there simply isn't enough information in the manga to figure out what he had better.
It could be a migraine but surgery can't fix that...
