They're just basically the anime series where the frames been cut up and pasted together to create a book that reads like a comic. I think Shogakukan stopped making the ones based on the TV series (my guess, poor sales) and are only making the movies into 2 volume anime comics. They tend to release them way after the movie's been out in the theaters. For ginyoku no magician, the volumes came out December 17, 2004, but the movies were released in early April and the rental DVDs were out around October (I believe).

Now I know what you mean. I read about that a while ago. I've seen them for the movies, like Kaito said, but I never found a site, where they were scanned (these from anime)
We have something like it for DBGT.

bout Conan Special Edition..in Indonesia it's already in vol.18, i hev vol12, 14-16, and 18. it's created by Aoyama Gosho, Ohta Masaru, & Kubota Kazuhiro. the cases in those books, somewhat shorter than in the general one (i mean non-special edition)
