We have an advertisement section, if people wish to advertise for their own site. Recently, it has come to my attention that something is missing: a sticky with official DC links from different countries, fansites that are often used as references, big DC LJ communities, DC related deviant communities.... maybe that thread should also include links to where anime & manga can be bought legally.
The reason I am not making the thread right away is that I want to know what the mods and our admin think of this idea. Regardless of their view, their feedback in this thread would be appreciated.

What a good idea! To create a great database which one could consult to get information about DC., to see the evolution in various languages and also to provide a means of resources accessible to all the members. One could gather the sites by country or categories. If that can help, I have already approximately about fifty bonds which could serve the cause, the research task being already madeā¦since two years ago...

personally i think it's a good idea. but what about the rule don't share music and video links? =/ i'm sure someone would post up the link with music and/or videos. that's the only one i'm concerned about. we'll just have to see what the other mods and admin see about it.

The whole question is if such a thread would require extra monitoring to avoid dl links.
The thread could be a locked sticky, and suggestions for new links (along with a description of the content) would be sent to an active moderator to judge if it should be added or not.
Or
the thread could be open to all posters. A description of the link's content would still be required. The suggestions would be added gradually by either a mod or whoever started the thread in the first post. And posts with dl links would be deleted, in order to keep the thread orderly.
the basic structure could be:
category: official links link: websunday.net description: This is the official page of Shonen Sunday, a weekly magazine published by shogakukan. (ect, ect) suggested by: member's name.

This way is good and in the first post of this famous topic. You could put an index by category...more easier and pratical to set the rules... I want to help and I can help you, for this project.
