Now we all know (hopefully) that Kaito is quite gifted with magic. How else could he pull off his heists so successfully?

Now it's time to use our imaginations, kids. What about a job?

The obvious answer would be "oh, he'll become a world famous magician like his father!" But unlike his father, he has Conan's interest as well as Hakuba's. Between the two of them, wouldn't one be able to draw the connection eventually? Maybe a certain trick would be repeated in a heist and give him away. Even if they don't have an interest in magic, surely they'd do their research.

What other profession could Kaito use his skills for? o.o

Lol, I could really imagine Kid just flying around Japan with his glider for fun.

I reckon he could .... uhh... just be a magician lol. I'm not so sure a job relating to justice (police, lawyer, detective etc) would suit him. He'd want to do something where he has a free role kinda thing...

Actually having to ponder this for a story...

At the moment, we're leaning towards Illusionist, which isn't quite the same thing as a Stage Magician. Something slightly different than what his father did, but in the same general feild. ^^;;

... and possibly some security consulting on the side. #^^#

Oh come on ppl, you're missing the obvious. if he's not going to be a stage magician, then he'll probably be an actor. that or a pimp >< (jk jk jk)

He also has some skill in engineering or as a creative inventor ( i could see him making all sorts of trick toys for kids).

If you count his bravery and recklessness, he could easily be a stunt devil or work undercover for the Japanese cia or something ><

He does have a strong sense of justice, so i really could see him as a detective of sorts, working against thieves probably, just to get Hakuba's goat.

hmmm, he needs something that involves high intelligence, bravery, justice, and deviousness....

He might be a very ordinary person but still can use his skills. I guess his age is the same to Shinichi, thus I think he should be a student. He can help polices as Shinichi used to do. He also can be a young talent.

….I actually had to think about this one. Honestly, I think the obvious has already been stated: magician, illusionist, and possible detective, what have you. I can’t really see Kaito involved in anything else unless more information is revealed on him. ._.; With Kaito’s personality, it’s hard to place him in a law enforcement occupation (even though he’d probably be good at it) or anything else. Oo;
