Volume 1: If we could only stay together
"Now that Shiho invented the antidote, there is no problem for me to see Ran..." Shinichi whispered within himself, as he was wrapping his gift he prepared for Ran. He remembered that Ran loves the red color, so he decided to buy a red diary book. It is his special gift.
Ran was fixing her room with the old books when suddenly his dad was knocking the door.
"What is it, dad?" she asked.
"Sonoko is here to see you and it seems to be an urgent matter..."
She was forced to come out of the room. If Sonoko is telling something, what importance could it be? Sonoko was panting when she arrived and sat at the large sofa of the agency.
"Sonoko, what is it?" she said, with a wonder on face when she asked her friend.
Somoko took a deep breath before she answered. "Shinichi is in the Tokyo Tower. I saw him and asked if why was he there. He said that he's trying to call you and invite you there but your phone was off. I told him to come here to see you but..." she stopped and looked at Kogoro who was reading the daily newspaper. He is not actually reading but listening to them when he heard Shinichi's name.
"I-Ill go after this...sorry, my phone battert died just an hour ago..." she answered.
"Shouldn't that sorry be said to Shinichi?" Sonoko suggested.
Ran's face turned red. "See, now, let's see him now...no...see him now!" Sonoko continued, pulling Rab's hand to go out from the lounge of the detective agency office.
Kogoro was about to stop them but Sonoko hurried for Ran to escape him.
"Damn those kids, never understood old men.." he said although his anger was on them, he fully understood their situations. He remembered how he and Eri was able to know each other. He smiled and looked back at the newspaper he was holding. It was upside down! It was obvious he was listening to their conversation.
"Shinichi...he's grown up fast. He knows how to treat Ran so heartwarmingly," he said in his mind.
In the Tokyo Tower...
Shinichi stood up from sitting on the bench. He was looking at every person hoping he could see Ran pass by.
"S-shinichi...!?" Ran called him. Her voice was like a beautiful hymn on Shinichi's ears. He turned himself to where Ran was calling him. He saw her, on her tears, after seeing him.
"Shinichi!" she continued, whereas she ran towards him and embraced him. It was almost years when she didn't see him. He could understand their actions that time. It was obvious that Ran misssed him so much.
"Ran, I promise you, we will never be apart again..." he said, wiped her teards with his thumb and smiled. His smile comforted her so much.
"Really...?" she asked. She is asking for assurance from him. Shinichi went into the bench again and carried with him a red wrapped box when he returned.
"Here's my gift...my assurance..." he answered, gave her the ift. Ran received it happily and drew it close to her and embraced it. She looked at the box before she turned her sight to him.
"This is the best gift I have ever received...a gift from you..." she cried.
Sonoko interrupted them. "Excuse me love birds but look around you..." she said, pointing at the people watching them. Shinichi blushed and he held Ran's hand pulling her to get away from Tokyo Tower.
"How sweet...!" the people murmured about them. Sonoko laughed wickedly but with sweetness over her friends.
Shinichi invited Ran to the Tropical Land once more. The thing that Ran wandered was why the place where they were has no light. The fountain and the postlight were off.
"Do you remember when we were here before...?" Shinichi asked.
"Yeah, but that also the time I last saw you..."Ran replied, with sadness.
"Let's stand on the fountain again..." he said, pointing to the lightless fountain.
"But the light..." Ran complained.
"Stand there first...with me..."
"Okay..."
As Ran and Shinichi stood to the lightless fountain, Shinichi clicked through his fingers and raised his hand and afterwards, light blighted the whole land with the fountain in its waters!
Something beeped into Shinichi's cellphone. He turned it into silent mode so Ran was not able to notice it. He ignored them and enjoyed the fun with Ran.
Ran said she wpuld just go to the phone booth to call her Dad to cook his dinner because they will be going home late. He had the chance then to open his message on his cellphone.
"Shinichi, it is an urgent message. A murder case was found near Beika District. You must come home at once..."
The sender was professor Agasa. He thought of a way to finish the date as possible as he can to attend the case. That is what duty means.
"R-ran...shouldn't we go home now...? Uncle...I mean your father is not well good in culinary arts...and cooking, so I know you must make him some...", Shinichi excused.
"Y-you're right. Gosh it's already 7:45 pm..."
Shinichi succeeded. He accompanied her home and went straightly to where Professor Agasa told him. The address was rather old and was near the Beika Park.
"Ran, if we could only be together forever, I can stay for you and be with you..." he said, in his mind, as he closed his eyes and took a rest for a while before he continued.
Volume 2 - The Unleft Memory
Shinichi was able to catch up to the case and arrived there, although he was late.
"You're late for almost 30 minutes, Shinichi..." says Inspector Megure when he arrived. He was with the professor Agasa and Officer Takagi.
"I'm sorry Inspector, I have to be with Ran.." , he excused, scratching his head. The Inspector listened to his excuse, but it was not his worst issue...the issue lies on the case ahead.
"Shinichi, we have a hard case to follow, the victim, Mito Kodayashi, has been brutally murdered in his own room, and there is not much lead and evidence, we need your assistance on this case..." replied the Inspector seriously.
"Let me be on the case, Inspector..."
"We need to catch the killer as soon as possible..."
"Why...?"
"All the suspects is leaving and going to England. If we can not pinpoint the killer, we are doomed...the case will never be solved."
"Can you not cancel all the flights?"
"I can't...they are all under the government's costudy."
Shinichi proceeded to the hallway, where the crime scene took place until where the victim was found. He was so lucky he found a clue of the things that happened from the people present there.
In the murder scene, he found out that the murderer is a woman. The criminal and the victim might had contact with each other. He smelled some perfume of the FOREST INTERLUDE perfume brand, which are mostly used only by women. He checked the papers and the alibis of the five suspects. He smiled to the Inspector when he saw one of the suspect's alibi and the flaw in it.
"Inspector, call the suspects and I will reveal the crime and the perpetrator...there is only one truth!"
3 Days After
Shinichi was able to solve the case. Ran was surprised when she heard the news. The reason why she was wondering was not how Shinichi solved the case but the time Shinichi solved the case. That was the day after their date.
"Maybe he's not telling you something, like he must be here for some serious case..." Sonoko whispered to Ran as they were waiting for their class in the park.
"Shinichi is not like that..." she defended. She knew Shinichi, he would never leave a secret to anyone, especially to her, if its about those matters.

"The case is over..." declared Inspector Megure.
"Of course, Shinichi helped us a lot.", seconded Takagi.
"It is the resolution, we can't solve it..."
"I consider him the greatest detective..."
"Shinichi...?"
"Yes, nobody solved those cases as great as him..."
Inspector Megure opened his desk drawer and looked on the letters Shinichi gave him after he solved the case. Those are letters, which has the secrets about him and Conan Edogawa.
"Inspector, given all these premises, you must now know that Conan Edogawa and Shinichi Kudo is only one. Bear this in mind Inspector. --Always, Shinichi--"

Ran and Shinichi was holding hands at the park explaining how he solved the case and his reason over his return.
"The case is really interesting, you know why?" Shinichi asked.
"Why....?" Ran replied, puzzled out by his question.
"It turned out that the case is about two lovers who got separated for a long time."
Ran looked at him intently. Shinichi escaped Ran's sight over him and simply laughed to talk his way out. He heard Ran saying: "like some men over there, they don't understand the feelings of girls...like me..."
"Ran, how about some ice cream...ehehehehe..." he reasoned.
"Don't ehehehe me!" Ran exclaimed.
Shinichi drew back and laughed.
"So what happened...?" Ran continued.
Shinichi's serious face was seen as he explains what happened
VOLUME 3 - SHINICHI'S RESOLUTION
"The man has been separated to his loved one due to an accident. It seems to be that the one he loved misunderstood all and thought it was murder. She took revenge to those whom she suspected to have done the separation act although all are innoncent..."
Shinichi stopped after he explained. There is something bothering him, that would happen, it is an intuition of something that is going to happen.
"What's wrong, Shinichi?" asked Ran.
"Ah...nothing..."

Professor Agasa is making a new electrical design for his PCB when a ring from the phone alerted him. He stopped his work and went to answer it.
"Hello, Agasa's residence..."
"Professor, is Shinichi in?" asled the other man on the line. He recognized that man, it is no other than Shinichi's rival, the Great Western Detective, Heiji Hattori!
"Oh, Hattori...Shinichi is out, with Ran..."
"Just as I thought...but professor, please tell Shinichi to come to Osaka as soon as possible..."
"What happened...?"
"A group of serial murder cases happened here. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend and solve this case because I am on a case right now. I called for Shinichi for it. So if you can...I want Shinichi to be my representative on this case...."
"I'll be asking Shinichi about it, once he returns..."
"Thank's professor..."

Shinichi arrived happily as he sat on his main chair. His happiness can not worth anything. It is a precious moment that he treasured so much.
"Shinichi, are you in?", there was a knock on his door. He opened it. It was the professor. He welcoemd him and explained about Hattori's call. Shinichi's fear has come to life. Although he must not forget the care for Hattori, he is bothered about Ran. He heard about Ran mentioning something very important, of which he is importantly involved. Ran's birthday will be on Wednesday.
"Explain it to her..." Agasa recommended.
"Professor, it's Ran's birthday...if I can solve the case from this day of Sunday, I will be able to catch up..."
"It is really hard to tell how but Hattori needs help..."
Shinichi calmed himself and dialled Heiji's number. The phone rang several times before he answered. He heard some noise from the other line. After a while, he heard it slowly fading. He knew that Heiji is in a tough case, so he must have excused himself for the call.
"This is Hattori..."
"Hattori...."
"Ah, Shinichi...about the case..."
"I'll accept it. I just want to ask not to inform Ran about this. This is a surprise. I'll be off to Osaka tomorrow of dawn..."
"Thanks Shinichi...although this is a breach of contract...."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine."
OSAKA - SHINICHI'S FIRST DAY
He checked the alibi, murder scene, evidence tags and many things that are connected to the scene. He returned to the cottage where he checked in. He sat on the wide chair as he remembered Ran. No matter how he concentrated on the case, Ran is always there on his mind.
"Ran, someday, I'll tell you that I love you...more than anything in this world..."
He started to feel tired because of the case. He closed his eyes and it was not long when he felt asleep.
On the other hand, Ran was worried so much about Shinichi. She didn't see him the whole day. Shinichi promised her to surprise her on her birthday party this Wednesday. She knew him. He is full of surprises. She called him but his cellphone is off. Professor Agasa and Hattori won't talk.
"What is going on....Shinichi...?" Ran asked on her mind, still with the wonders of where Shinichi is.
VOLUME 4 - SHINICHI'S LOVE
I - The Murder
Shinichi has come to the solution of the case. It was the clues on the murder scene that left him to solve the case. The dying message of the victim was the final conclusion to who the killer is. He smiled as he called the policemen to gather the suspects in the lounge of the mansion, to where the murder was committed.
After an hour, in the lounge, to where every policemen were excited of Shinichi's deduction show. As for Shinichi, he must close the case and solve it as soon as possible before noon. It is the day of Wednesday, Ran's birthday. He promised her to be there as prompt as he can, but in this case where his world is divided equally by two, he must not hesitate to close the case.
"So. how is the commission of the crime? It is a perfect locked room..." asked the inspector who was in charge of the case.
"It is not a perfect locked room actually. The mirror, that was on the left side of the victim's room, is removable. It seems that the criminal prepared the window glass before hand. When we checked it, I noticed that the window was full of rugby and white clay, which is basically used to paste windows. The problem about it was..the rugby and clay were fresh, as if it was applied there after the crime happened. I happened to have my fingerprint brush with me and found out the murderer's fingerprint on the window glass, which was not checked by the police beforehand...."
"You mean the window that we checked was...."
"That's right, Inspector. We overlooked the fact that the removable window was changed, after the crime happed. Remember that the murder was near the window. Therefore, blood was smeared upon it...but when you see the window...there was no trace of blood...therefore it is apparent that the murderer changed it..."
"Who is the killer..?"
"There is only one truth...the killer is...the one who ordered everyone for dinner in the time the police was calming everyone to go to the dining room, where he used it as an alibi for us to overlook the window...Mr. Oowada Takumi...you are the killer...."
"That's impossible, I just wanted everyone to take their dinner that time!" defended Oowada.
"Then let your excuses be answered by the fingerprints...If we can take your DNA sample from today, we can determine it to the fingerprints and on the mirror, which you changed." said Shinichi, with full confidence. Oowada kneeled before the floor and cried. He submitted himself to the police after he said that he was the one who comimitted the crime.
The inspector gave thanks to Shinichi for the case. As a reward, he is going to tell it to the whole police department for his success. Shinichi humbly excused himself and went to the cottage and prepared his things...to go home.
"I have to return to Beika as soon as possible, Ran, wait for me...!"
II - THE LOVE OF SHINICHI
2 hours passed, Shinichi reached the Shin-Osaka Station, where he waited for the second bus...but it seems that the bus going to Beika is off. He called for a taxi cab and smiled upon his luck to find one.
On the other hand, Ran was on her green dress, especially made by expert dressmakers which Kogoro and Eri hired. It is one of her special birthdays because Shinichi promised to be there for her and give her flowers. The birthday was held on the Beika Garden Park, where every friends, teachers and many other friends of Shinichi was there. She was waiting along the garden gate for Shinichi's return.
"Ran...will he really come...?" Sonoko asked sadly, feeling something sad for her bestfriend.
"He will, Sonoko, he will..." she replied, but her voice was breaking, as if waiting Shinichi would take forever. Eri and Kogoro approached her and informed her that for about 15 minutes, the party will start, without Shinichi.
Shinichi was still on the taxi cab. "Sir, can't you make the car go faster for me?" he asked the driver.
"No way my boy, the police will toll us, you know that. We are on a slow down lane..."
Shinichi's patience reached to its maximum height. He opened the taxi door and ran to his way to the Beika Garden. Agasa informed him about the place. He ran as fast to the last alley to the Beika Street.
He looked at his hand, to where he remembered their holding hands with Ran. He felt still the warmth of it. He closed his eyes and stamped his hand on the wall.
"Ran, I will be there!" he said, his eyes was of tears, it was this time, that he felt Ran is the secret of everything in his heart...
Ran at the same time felt the warmth of it, as she looks at her hand and held it on her chest. "Shinichi....I love you...!"
VOLUME 5 - THE SECRET
Shinichi gasps as he ran as fast as he can until he reached Beika Park. He saw Ran waiting in the gate of the garden where her birthday is being held. He smiled as he reached for her.
"Shinichi...where were you...?" Ran asked, filled with tears that almost break Shinichi's heart. Shinichi wiped her tears and smiled at her. A very sweet smile and tried to comfort Ran away from her loneliness at that time.
"Ran, I will never leave you...you have waited...I have returned..."
Kogoro and Eri silently walked past them and surprised the two of them with a smile.
"Isn't it time for the thanksgiving speech, Ran?" scoffer Kogoro as he smiled to the two of them. Kogoro is rather serious than of the common self he showed. Ran continued to wipe her tears as she ran to the platform for her thanksgiving speech. Eri smiled to Shinichi when Ran left them.
"You have returned for her...thank you..." she remarked.
Kogoro scolded Shinichi in the head like how he did it to Conan. Shinichi just laughed and acted like how Conan did, although a more maturing one. "You're late again...!"
Kogoro stopped for a while. He had this feeling, a strange feeling that is consuming him to think that Conan and Shinichi is the same person. "Dear, what's wrong...?" asked Eri, when she saw that her husband is starting off to go out-spaced.
"N-nothing..." he replied. Shinichi excused himself from them and went to watch Ran for her special performance in the stage. He sat on one of the chairs that was prepared. Sonoko went into the back stage to tell the other caterers to take care of the guest. She was busy telling them what to do, although she took a glance to see Shinichi who sat on the front middle seats. She saw Inspector Megure, Takagi and Sato sat beside him too...although Takagi and Sato was away from Inspector Megure and Shinichi.

The performance was finished and there was a lot of applause. Shinichi and Inspector Megure went into a near quiet place and talked there seriously. They were very serious that no one must hear of the secret that beholds there unraveled.
"Shinichi, I never believed you were Conan, after telling me all about these organization and how Kogoro solved the cases...why didn't you tell us in the first place?" he asked, his voice was rebellious towards Shinichi. Yes, Megure was a very big part of his life and his secret could be safe in his side but...he never told him about it. Plus, the second thought of how Detective Kogoro solved the cases, were his effort of doing.
"Inspector, I could not tell you. Once this secret of how I survived the APTX 4869 with Haibara, we must first hold of the case how to handle that Organization, we do not want you to get involved..."
"But atleast you could have told us!"
"No, Inspector. We must not. The walls have ears Inspector. Once the organization knows about the identity I hold, you and I, could be history right now, out on this world..."
"Is this how this organization really is?"
"Yes...they won't forgive one person and let them live..."

Ran was looking for Shinichi, when the performance was over. Sonoko told her that he was with the police officers a while ago but she can not see him. She went to Takagi hoping he could have seen him pass by.
"He's with the inspector in the Botanical Garden nearby..." he said. Ran went into the botanical garden with Sonoko, whom she was with, hoping they could find Shinichi. She and Sonoko overheard two voices speaking in the botanical garden. They silently walked and hear what they must hear.
"Shinichi, would you tell Ran...about this? She must know the secret..."
"Inspector, not now...I don't want her to know that I and Conan, is the same person. The curse of APTX 4869 which makes me Conan will never return but...to explain her about it...would take some more time..."
Ran and Sonoko was shocked. So Ran's suspicions about Conan being Shinichi being the same person is true! It was evident! She moved to hear more when she touched a flower vase and caused it to drop on the floor, where it broke. Shinichi was shocked together with the Inspector.
"S-S-Shinichi....and Conan is the same....is this the secret???" Ran said, her voice is breaking inside of her...which Shinichi wanted to escape.
'Answer me Shinichi...are you Conan?!" she continued.
The Request of the Wounded Heart
As if the world would crumble to what she heard. The secret that has long been unheard and made her dumbfounded for many years has been revealed to her. The shocked Shinichi and Inspector faced her as she confronted them. Sonoko's serious face was also found as she stared at Shinichi as if her eyes are questioning him of what is happening.
"Shinichi, what is this!?" Ran questioned. Shinichi was left silent and powerless in his speech. The Inspector was silent, holding onto his hat, as his face was consumed with the darkness from the shaded light of the botanical garden.
"Answer me, Shinichi!" Ran repeated.
Shinichi faced her with the sadness that consumed him to speak. He looked at her intently as he nodded and admitted the secret valid.
"I guess there is nothing to hide...Conan Edogawa...and I...is only one..." he replied. He looked at Inspector Megure who was silent at that time, as if waiting for his reply on what Ran heard.
Ran, on her tears, ran away out from the garden. Sonoko looked at Shinichi for one last time. "How could you hide her all of these? As a friend to Ran...I really don't get you...!" she exclaimed. She caught up with Ran and tried to follow her where she went. As Sonoko runs, Shinichi replied to her with his catching voice, "If I only have the opportunity and right time, I could have told her...."
Inspector Megure broke the silence in the garden.
"So, what now...?"
"I don't know, Inspector. Now that Ran knows my secret, there is no more reason to hide it. One or the other, it would be known by her father and mother, by the police department...and then the kids...I don't know, if there is a reason to be a secret for it at all..."
"I can't blame you, Shinichi, for doing that. If I am on your situation, I could have done the same also."
"I will explain it all to her, but not on this time..."
"Wait for the right time, Shinichi. The wound on her heart is still afresh, the secret must have shocked her..."
Shinichi sighed as if the whole world is in his lament and burden. He walked with Inspector Megure out from the Botanical Garden. His silence proved his despair to what he have done.
FEW DAYS LATER
Professor Agasa poured the coffee to the three cups on the table. Miyano Shiho just returned yesterday when she heard about what happened to Shinichi. She held her cup of coffee and glanced to the silent Shinichi on the other seat. Agasa poured his cup coffee and gave it top him. He recieved it silently and started to smell the aroma of the coffee.
"Drink the coffee...while its hot..." adviced Agasa.
"Professor...was my choice of keeping it a secret the most perfect solution...?" Shinichi asked. At last, he talked for so long he has been silent all the time.
"Of course! If you have told her about it, there will come a time that she might get involved in those Black Organization!"
Shiho looked at the window near her. She sighed. "Why not confront her about it? If she already knew about what happened to you from the past years and days, then it is only literal and fine to talk to her..."
"It's not that easy! I have a feeling she is in her room right now, still crying from what happened, I am sure of this...!"
MOURI DETECTIVE AGENCY
Shinichi's hunch was true. Ran is in her room and locked herself. Her tears was erased in her eyes but the sadness that covered her was limitlessly choking her world. She was asking herself why did Shinichi kept it a secret from her. What's his reason? His grounds? She was totally clueless of it.
"Shinichi lied to me for almost years...? Why, Shinichi...?" Ran whispered, as she sat sown on the floor, laying her back on the wall and tears started to flow on her face again. No matter how she look at it, Shinichi...kept a secret that she almost die to find out.
"Ran, open the door...!" Eri called, knocking at the door of her room. She never answered not until her father joined calling her. She opened the door at last.
She never withstood her feelings, she embraced her mother as she cried out her way. It must be a daughter to mother instict. How well Eri understood the situation her daugther now is.
Kogoro himself, wanted to face Shinichi about it. He wanted to confront him, shot at him, yell at him for those past years he was fooled by him. He decided into one thing, he must confront Shinichi!
He excused himself from Eri and Ran, he said he was just going to get some air but he lied. He went straightly to Shinichi's residence...and confront him. He wanted answers...reasons...settlements that will close the matter and stop the pain Ran is feeling right now. He thought it is his job as a father to at least help her daughter recover from the trauma she is now sufferring because of Shinichi.
SHINICHI'S HOUSE
"Professor, is Shinichi there...?" asked Kogoro, outside the door to where Agasa opened.
"He's here...."
"I need to talk to him....!"
Agasa had nothing to do to stop him. He welcomed him inside as he heard Kogoro shouted to call Shinichi.
As Kogoro enters Agasa's house, he was waiting for Shinichi, who was being called by Agasa. He nervously went down from the stairs to meet him. His nervousness almost reached his nerves, for it may be hard for him to know what may happen.
"Oji-san..." he uttered. Kogoro rushed and collared him. His anger furiously surprised Shinichi, but he understands why.
"You made Ran cry...! Why...I have trusted you because I know she loves you so much...whatever the secret that she had found out over you...isn't it not better for you to have told her before she is the one who have known it personally? Why must the secret be revealed by other means rather than you telling her...?" he exclaimed.
Shinichi bowed his head, while holding his collars when Kogoro pulled it down. "You don't understand...uncle..." were the words he left before he silently heard his heartbeat.
"Understand what, Shinichi? Will feigning ignorance be a solution for all you have caused? Look at Ran now, she is frustrated and is in a trauma of the heart breaking secret you have caused! Will keeping silence a solution to heal her heart!? Answer me...!"
Kogoro went out in his frustration of Shinichi's silence. He went home, hoping that Shinichi had understood Ran's grief and trauma....that he would soon come and ask for forgiveness to Ran. Agasa went back to where Shinichi was and talked to him. Shiho, on the other hand, was in a corner over there, looking at the depressed Shinichi. "The real Shinichi...would surely be back...because of what Oji-san did..."
HOURS LATER
Sonoko brought some pizzas for Ran, who was still silent and on her room. Kogoro and Eri welcomed her in and said she is still on a trauma on what happened. Before she was able to knock Ran's room, Shinichi was outside, pleading to come in. He was holding a paper and in it has the words written : "Ran, I am sorry".
"Would you let him in, uncle?" asked Sonoko.
"Wait till Ran decides..."
Sonoko called Ran to come out her room and look out the window. Ran silently opened her door's room and looked at the window. She saw the pity Shinichi, holding the papers saying he is sorry. Ran had her sharp eyes to Shinichi, signaling that she is still angry with him.
"Aren't you going to forgive him?" asked her mother.
"No way!" she replied. The rain started to pour out, but Shinichi never went in a shade and instead stayed there, holding still the paper. Sonoko saw Shinichi's deserving forgiveness. She nudged Ran through her shoulder and pointed at Shinichi outside. Ran irritatedly looked back at the window and saw Shinichi, who was there, cold, and waiting for her forgiveness. He was all wet and needs to get inside. Her mind is telling her 'no way' but her heart is saying 'i love shinichi, i must forgive him and he needs me now'. What among these two must she follow?
Her heart speaks! She hurriedly went down the stairs with her umbrella and goes to let Shinichi inside. Sonoko had her sarcastic smile and laugh. "Ha-ha...just like I thought...she can't stand looking at Shinichi like that...that guy seem to have learned drama tactics all the way...I wish Kyogoku and me was in the same situation..."
Kogoro looked at Sonoko and whispered.."You wish..." as he laughs. Shinichi was really wet, as Ran hurries to hear room and brought back towel with her for Shinichi.
Her heart spoke for what she really feels. She will forgive Shinichi and accept the truth that there might be a big reason for everything.
"Ran...this might be a little awkward but please...forgive me...all these days I have been thinking if I should task you but now my heart spoke for what I know is the truth...after all...one truth prevails, right?"
Ran silently listened to him. Shinichi held her hands as he asked for her to forgive him. Her feelings stayed with him, as if she is drowning seeing that Shinichi needs her.
"Shinichi...if heart is the basis for all my forgiveness...you've got my forgiveness...maybe there is no reason to tell but whatever you have kept so far...had I understand..."
"Shall we start afresh?"
"Yes..."
Kogoro and Eri smiled at each other as they looked at the two who showed their love together for a new life. Sonoko took a video of it on her cellphone as she smiled..."I will blog this! Blog blog blog!" she laughed.
There is no holding back...Shinichi embraces Ran, as Ran cries...not for sadness but for love. Ran suddenly became silent and wore off from embracing Shinichi.
"Wait a minute...if that's the case...if YOU are Conan...then when we went to Dad's Reunion....and when you took a bath with me on the Onsen....that means you....."
Shinichi raised his hands as if he was arrested. "I have no knowledge of that..." he laughed as he runs about. Ran catches her as Sonoko continued to video them. Laughter ended all the misery of Ran and Shinichi. Love proved their way, as the detective and his only love confessed together.
THE END
"Now that Shiho invented the antidote, there is no problem for me to see Ran..." Shinichi whispered within himself, as he was wrapping his gift he prepared for Ran. He remembered that Ran loves the red color, so he decided to buy a red diary book. It is his special gift.
Ran was fixing her room with the old books when suddenly his dad was knocking the door.
"What is it, dad?" she asked.
"Sonoko is here to see you and it seems to be an urgent matter..."
She was forced to come out of the room. If Sonoko is telling something, what importance could it be? Sonoko was panting when she arrived and sat at the large sofa of the agency.
"Sonoko, what is it?" she said, with a wonder on face when she asked her friend.
Somoko took a deep breath before she answered. "Shinichi is in the Tokyo Tower. I saw him and asked if why was he there. He said that he's trying to call you and invite you there but your phone was off. I told him to come here to see you but..." she stopped and looked at Kogoro who was reading the daily newspaper. He is not actually reading but listening to them when he heard Shinichi's name.
"I-Ill go after this...sorry, my phone battert died just an hour ago..." she answered.
"Shouldn't that sorry be said to Shinichi?" Sonoko suggested.
Ran's face turned red. "See, now, let's see him now...no...see him now!" Sonoko continued, pulling Rab's hand to go out from the lounge of the detective agency office.
Kogoro was about to stop them but Sonoko hurried for Ran to escape him.
"Damn those kids, never understood old men.." he said although his anger was on them, he fully understood their situations. He remembered how he and Eri was able to know each other. He smiled and looked back at the newspaper he was holding. It was upside down! It was obvious he was listening to their conversation.
"Shinichi...he's grown up fast. He knows how to treat Ran so heartwarmingly," he said in his mind.
In the Tokyo Tower...
Shinichi stood up from sitting on the bench. He was looking at every person hoping he could see Ran pass by.
"S-shinichi...!?" Ran called him. Her voice was like a beautiful hymn on Shinichi's ears. He turned himself to where Ran was calling him. He saw her, on her tears, after seeing him.
"Shinichi!" she continued, whereas she ran towards him and embraced him. It was almost years when she didn't see him. He could understand their actions that time. It was obvious that Ran misssed him so much.
"Ran, I promise you, we will never be apart again..." he said, wiped her teards with his thumb and smiled. His smile comforted her so much.
"Really...?" she asked. She is asking for assurance from him. Shinichi went into the bench again and carried with him a red wrapped box when he returned.
"Here's my gift...my assurance..." he answered, gave her the ift. Ran received it happily and drew it close to her and embraced it. She looked at the box before she turned her sight to him.
"This is the best gift I have ever received...a gift from you..." she cried.
Sonoko interrupted them. "Excuse me love birds but look around you..." she said, pointing at the people watching them. Shinichi blushed and he held Ran's hand pulling her to get away from Tokyo Tower.
"How sweet...!" the people murmured about them. Sonoko laughed wickedly but with sweetness over her friends.
Shinichi invited Ran to the Tropical Land once more. The thing that Ran wandered was why the place where they were has no light. The fountain and the postlight were off.
"Do you remember when we were here before...?" Shinichi asked.
"Yeah, but that also the time I last saw you..."Ran replied, with sadness.
"Let's stand on the fountain again..." he said, pointing to the lightless fountain.
"But the light..." Ran complained.
"Stand there first...with me..."
"Okay..."
As Ran and Shinichi stood to the lightless fountain, Shinichi clicked through his fingers and raised his hand and afterwards, light blighted the whole land with the fountain in its waters!
Something beeped into Shinichi's cellphone. He turned it into silent mode so Ran was not able to notice it. He ignored them and enjoyed the fun with Ran.
Ran said she wpuld just go to the phone booth to call her Dad to cook his dinner because they will be going home late. He had the chance then to open his message on his cellphone.
"Shinichi, it is an urgent message. A murder case was found near Beika District. You must come home at once..."
The sender was professor Agasa. He thought of a way to finish the date as possible as he can to attend the case. That is what duty means.
"R-ran...shouldn't we go home now...? Uncle...I mean your father is not well good in culinary arts...and cooking, so I know you must make him some...", Shinichi excused.
"Y-you're right. Gosh it's already 7:45 pm..."
Shinichi succeeded. He accompanied her home and went straightly to where Professor Agasa told him. The address was rather old and was near the Beika Park.
"Ran, if we could only be together forever, I can stay for you and be with you..." he said, in his mind, as he closed his eyes and took a rest for a while before he continued.
Volume 2 - The Unleft Memory
Shinichi was able to catch up to the case and arrived there, although he was late.
"You're late for almost 30 minutes, Shinichi..." says Inspector Megure when he arrived. He was with the professor Agasa and Officer Takagi.
"I'm sorry Inspector, I have to be with Ran.." , he excused, scratching his head. The Inspector listened to his excuse, but it was not his worst issue...the issue lies on the case ahead.
"Shinichi, we have a hard case to follow, the victim, Mito Kodayashi, has been brutally murdered in his own room, and there is not much lead and evidence, we need your assistance on this case..." replied the Inspector seriously.
"Let me be on the case, Inspector..."
"We need to catch the killer as soon as possible..."
"Why...?"
"All the suspects is leaving and going to England. If we can not pinpoint the killer, we are doomed...the case will never be solved."
"Can you not cancel all the flights?"
"I can't...they are all under the government's costudy."
Shinichi proceeded to the hallway, where the crime scene took place until where the victim was found. He was so lucky he found a clue of the things that happened from the people present there.
In the murder scene, he found out that the murderer is a woman. The criminal and the victim might had contact with each other. He smelled some perfume of the FOREST INTERLUDE perfume brand, which are mostly used only by women. He checked the papers and the alibis of the five suspects. He smiled to the Inspector when he saw one of the suspect's alibi and the flaw in it.
"Inspector, call the suspects and I will reveal the crime and the perpetrator...there is only one truth!"
3 Days After
Shinichi was able to solve the case. Ran was surprised when she heard the news. The reason why she was wondering was not how Shinichi solved the case but the time Shinichi solved the case. That was the day after their date.
"Maybe he's not telling you something, like he must be here for some serious case..." Sonoko whispered to Ran as they were waiting for their class in the park.
"Shinichi is not like that..." she defended. She knew Shinichi, he would never leave a secret to anyone, especially to her, if its about those matters.

"The case is over..." declared Inspector Megure.
"Of course, Shinichi helped us a lot.", seconded Takagi.
"It is the resolution, we can't solve it..."
"I consider him the greatest detective..."
"Shinichi...?"
"Yes, nobody solved those cases as great as him..."
Inspector Megure opened his desk drawer and looked on the letters Shinichi gave him after he solved the case. Those are letters, which has the secrets about him and Conan Edogawa.
"Inspector, given all these premises, you must now know that Conan Edogawa and Shinichi Kudo is only one. Bear this in mind Inspector. --Always, Shinichi--"

Ran and Shinichi was holding hands at the park explaining how he solved the case and his reason over his return.
"The case is really interesting, you know why?" Shinichi asked.
"Why....?" Ran replied, puzzled out by his question.
"It turned out that the case is about two lovers who got separated for a long time."
Ran looked at him intently. Shinichi escaped Ran's sight over him and simply laughed to talk his way out. He heard Ran saying: "like some men over there, they don't understand the feelings of girls...like me..."
"Ran, how about some ice cream...ehehehehe..." he reasoned.
"Don't ehehehe me!" Ran exclaimed.
Shinichi drew back and laughed.
"So what happened...?" Ran continued.
Shinichi's serious face was seen as he explains what happened
VOLUME 3 - SHINICHI'S RESOLUTION
"The man has been separated to his loved one due to an accident. It seems to be that the one he loved misunderstood all and thought it was murder. She took revenge to those whom she suspected to have done the separation act although all are innoncent..."
Shinichi stopped after he explained. There is something bothering him, that would happen, it is an intuition of something that is going to happen.
"What's wrong, Shinichi?" asked Ran.
"Ah...nothing..."

Professor Agasa is making a new electrical design for his PCB when a ring from the phone alerted him. He stopped his work and went to answer it.
"Hello, Agasa's residence..."
"Professor, is Shinichi in?" asled the other man on the line. He recognized that man, it is no other than Shinichi's rival, the Great Western Detective, Heiji Hattori!
"Oh, Hattori...Shinichi is out, with Ran..."
"Just as I thought...but professor, please tell Shinichi to come to Osaka as soon as possible..."
"What happened...?"
"A group of serial murder cases happened here. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend and solve this case because I am on a case right now. I called for Shinichi for it. So if you can...I want Shinichi to be my representative on this case...."
"I'll be asking Shinichi about it, once he returns..."
"Thank's professor..."

Shinichi arrived happily as he sat on his main chair. His happiness can not worth anything. It is a precious moment that he treasured so much.
"Shinichi, are you in?", there was a knock on his door. He opened it. It was the professor. He welcoemd him and explained about Hattori's call. Shinichi's fear has come to life. Although he must not forget the care for Hattori, he is bothered about Ran. He heard about Ran mentioning something very important, of which he is importantly involved. Ran's birthday will be on Wednesday.
"Explain it to her..." Agasa recommended.
"Professor, it's Ran's birthday...if I can solve the case from this day of Sunday, I will be able to catch up..."
"It is really hard to tell how but Hattori needs help..."
Shinichi calmed himself and dialled Heiji's number. The phone rang several times before he answered. He heard some noise from the other line. After a while, he heard it slowly fading. He knew that Heiji is in a tough case, so he must have excused himself for the call.
"This is Hattori..."
"Hattori...."
"Ah, Shinichi...about the case..."
"I'll accept it. I just want to ask not to inform Ran about this. This is a surprise. I'll be off to Osaka tomorrow of dawn..."
"Thanks Shinichi...although this is a breach of contract...."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine."
OSAKA - SHINICHI'S FIRST DAY
He checked the alibi, murder scene, evidence tags and many things that are connected to the scene. He returned to the cottage where he checked in. He sat on the wide chair as he remembered Ran. No matter how he concentrated on the case, Ran is always there on his mind.
"Ran, someday, I'll tell you that I love you...more than anything in this world..."
He started to feel tired because of the case. He closed his eyes and it was not long when he felt asleep.
On the other hand, Ran was worried so much about Shinichi. She didn't see him the whole day. Shinichi promised her to surprise her on her birthday party this Wednesday. She knew him. He is full of surprises. She called him but his cellphone is off. Professor Agasa and Hattori won't talk.
"What is going on....Shinichi...?" Ran asked on her mind, still with the wonders of where Shinichi is.
VOLUME 4 - SHINICHI'S LOVE
I - The Murder
Shinichi has come to the solution of the case. It was the clues on the murder scene that left him to solve the case. The dying message of the victim was the final conclusion to who the killer is. He smiled as he called the policemen to gather the suspects in the lounge of the mansion, to where the murder was committed.
After an hour, in the lounge, to where every policemen were excited of Shinichi's deduction show. As for Shinichi, he must close the case and solve it as soon as possible before noon. It is the day of Wednesday, Ran's birthday. He promised her to be there as prompt as he can, but in this case where his world is divided equally by two, he must not hesitate to close the case.
"So. how is the commission of the crime? It is a perfect locked room..." asked the inspector who was in charge of the case.
"It is not a perfect locked room actually. The mirror, that was on the left side of the victim's room, is removable. It seems that the criminal prepared the window glass before hand. When we checked it, I noticed that the window was full of rugby and white clay, which is basically used to paste windows. The problem about it was..the rugby and clay were fresh, as if it was applied there after the crime happened. I happened to have my fingerprint brush with me and found out the murderer's fingerprint on the window glass, which was not checked by the police beforehand...."
"You mean the window that we checked was...."
"That's right, Inspector. We overlooked the fact that the removable window was changed, after the crime happed. Remember that the murder was near the window. Therefore, blood was smeared upon it...but when you see the window...there was no trace of blood...therefore it is apparent that the murderer changed it..."
"Who is the killer..?"
"There is only one truth...the killer is...the one who ordered everyone for dinner in the time the police was calming everyone to go to the dining room, where he used it as an alibi for us to overlook the window...Mr. Oowada Takumi...you are the killer...."
"That's impossible, I just wanted everyone to take their dinner that time!" defended Oowada.
"Then let your excuses be answered by the fingerprints...If we can take your DNA sample from today, we can determine it to the fingerprints and on the mirror, which you changed." said Shinichi, with full confidence. Oowada kneeled before the floor and cried. He submitted himself to the police after he said that he was the one who comimitted the crime.
The inspector gave thanks to Shinichi for the case. As a reward, he is going to tell it to the whole police department for his success. Shinichi humbly excused himself and went to the cottage and prepared his things...to go home.
"I have to return to Beika as soon as possible, Ran, wait for me...!"
II - THE LOVE OF SHINICHI
2 hours passed, Shinichi reached the Shin-Osaka Station, where he waited for the second bus...but it seems that the bus going to Beika is off. He called for a taxi cab and smiled upon his luck to find one.
On the other hand, Ran was on her green dress, especially made by expert dressmakers which Kogoro and Eri hired. It is one of her special birthdays because Shinichi promised to be there for her and give her flowers. The birthday was held on the Beika Garden Park, where every friends, teachers and many other friends of Shinichi was there. She was waiting along the garden gate for Shinichi's return.
"Ran...will he really come...?" Sonoko asked sadly, feeling something sad for her bestfriend.
"He will, Sonoko, he will..." she replied, but her voice was breaking, as if waiting Shinichi would take forever. Eri and Kogoro approached her and informed her that for about 15 minutes, the party will start, without Shinichi.
Shinichi was still on the taxi cab. "Sir, can't you make the car go faster for me?" he asked the driver.
"No way my boy, the police will toll us, you know that. We are on a slow down lane..."
Shinichi's patience reached to its maximum height. He opened the taxi door and ran to his way to the Beika Garden. Agasa informed him about the place. He ran as fast to the last alley to the Beika Street.
He looked at his hand, to where he remembered their holding hands with Ran. He felt still the warmth of it. He closed his eyes and stamped his hand on the wall.
"Ran, I will be there!" he said, his eyes was of tears, it was this time, that he felt Ran is the secret of everything in his heart...
Ran at the same time felt the warmth of it, as she looks at her hand and held it on her chest. "Shinichi....I love you...!"
VOLUME 5 - THE SECRET
Shinichi gasps as he ran as fast as he can until he reached Beika Park. He saw Ran waiting in the gate of the garden where her birthday is being held. He smiled as he reached for her.
"Shinichi...where were you...?" Ran asked, filled with tears that almost break Shinichi's heart. Shinichi wiped her tears and smiled at her. A very sweet smile and tried to comfort Ran away from her loneliness at that time.
"Ran, I will never leave you...you have waited...I have returned..."
Kogoro and Eri silently walked past them and surprised the two of them with a smile.
"Isn't it time for the thanksgiving speech, Ran?" scoffer Kogoro as he smiled to the two of them. Kogoro is rather serious than of the common self he showed. Ran continued to wipe her tears as she ran to the platform for her thanksgiving speech. Eri smiled to Shinichi when Ran left them.
"You have returned for her...thank you..." she remarked.
Kogoro scolded Shinichi in the head like how he did it to Conan. Shinichi just laughed and acted like how Conan did, although a more maturing one. "You're late again...!"
Kogoro stopped for a while. He had this feeling, a strange feeling that is consuming him to think that Conan and Shinichi is the same person. "Dear, what's wrong...?" asked Eri, when she saw that her husband is starting off to go out-spaced.
"N-nothing..." he replied. Shinichi excused himself from them and went to watch Ran for her special performance in the stage. He sat on one of the chairs that was prepared. Sonoko went into the back stage to tell the other caterers to take care of the guest. She was busy telling them what to do, although she took a glance to see Shinichi who sat on the front middle seats. She saw Inspector Megure, Takagi and Sato sat beside him too...although Takagi and Sato was away from Inspector Megure and Shinichi.

The performance was finished and there was a lot of applause. Shinichi and Inspector Megure went into a near quiet place and talked there seriously. They were very serious that no one must hear of the secret that beholds there unraveled.
"Shinichi, I never believed you were Conan, after telling me all about these organization and how Kogoro solved the cases...why didn't you tell us in the first place?" he asked, his voice was rebellious towards Shinichi. Yes, Megure was a very big part of his life and his secret could be safe in his side but...he never told him about it. Plus, the second thought of how Detective Kogoro solved the cases, were his effort of doing.
"Inspector, I could not tell you. Once this secret of how I survived the APTX 4869 with Haibara, we must first hold of the case how to handle that Organization, we do not want you to get involved..."
"But atleast you could have told us!"
"No, Inspector. We must not. The walls have ears Inspector. Once the organization knows about the identity I hold, you and I, could be history right now, out on this world..."
"Is this how this organization really is?"
"Yes...they won't forgive one person and let them live..."

Ran was looking for Shinichi, when the performance was over. Sonoko told her that he was with the police officers a while ago but she can not see him. She went to Takagi hoping he could have seen him pass by.
"He's with the inspector in the Botanical Garden nearby..." he said. Ran went into the botanical garden with Sonoko, whom she was with, hoping they could find Shinichi. She and Sonoko overheard two voices speaking in the botanical garden. They silently walked and hear what they must hear.
"Shinichi, would you tell Ran...about this? She must know the secret..."
"Inspector, not now...I don't want her to know that I and Conan, is the same person. The curse of APTX 4869 which makes me Conan will never return but...to explain her about it...would take some more time..."
Ran and Sonoko was shocked. So Ran's suspicions about Conan being Shinichi being the same person is true! It was evident! She moved to hear more when she touched a flower vase and caused it to drop on the floor, where it broke. Shinichi was shocked together with the Inspector.
"S-S-Shinichi....and Conan is the same....is this the secret???" Ran said, her voice is breaking inside of her...which Shinichi wanted to escape.
'Answer me Shinichi...are you Conan?!" she continued.
The Request of the Wounded Heart
As if the world would crumble to what she heard. The secret that has long been unheard and made her dumbfounded for many years has been revealed to her. The shocked Shinichi and Inspector faced her as she confronted them. Sonoko's serious face was also found as she stared at Shinichi as if her eyes are questioning him of what is happening.
"Shinichi, what is this!?" Ran questioned. Shinichi was left silent and powerless in his speech. The Inspector was silent, holding onto his hat, as his face was consumed with the darkness from the shaded light of the botanical garden.
"Answer me, Shinichi!" Ran repeated.
Shinichi faced her with the sadness that consumed him to speak. He looked at her intently as he nodded and admitted the secret valid.
"I guess there is nothing to hide...Conan Edogawa...and I...is only one..." he replied. He looked at Inspector Megure who was silent at that time, as if waiting for his reply on what Ran heard.
Ran, on her tears, ran away out from the garden. Sonoko looked at Shinichi for one last time. "How could you hide her all of these? As a friend to Ran...I really don't get you...!" she exclaimed. She caught up with Ran and tried to follow her where she went. As Sonoko runs, Shinichi replied to her with his catching voice, "If I only have the opportunity and right time, I could have told her...."
Inspector Megure broke the silence in the garden.
"So, what now...?"
"I don't know, Inspector. Now that Ran knows my secret, there is no more reason to hide it. One or the other, it would be known by her father and mother, by the police department...and then the kids...I don't know, if there is a reason to be a secret for it at all..."
"I can't blame you, Shinichi, for doing that. If I am on your situation, I could have done the same also."
"I will explain it all to her, but not on this time..."
"Wait for the right time, Shinichi. The wound on her heart is still afresh, the secret must have shocked her..."
Shinichi sighed as if the whole world is in his lament and burden. He walked with Inspector Megure out from the Botanical Garden. His silence proved his despair to what he have done.
FEW DAYS LATER
Professor Agasa poured the coffee to the three cups on the table. Miyano Shiho just returned yesterday when she heard about what happened to Shinichi. She held her cup of coffee and glanced to the silent Shinichi on the other seat. Agasa poured his cup coffee and gave it top him. He recieved it silently and started to smell the aroma of the coffee.
"Drink the coffee...while its hot..." adviced Agasa.
"Professor...was my choice of keeping it a secret the most perfect solution...?" Shinichi asked. At last, he talked for so long he has been silent all the time.
"Of course! If you have told her about it, there will come a time that she might get involved in those Black Organization!"
Shiho looked at the window near her. She sighed. "Why not confront her about it? If she already knew about what happened to you from the past years and days, then it is only literal and fine to talk to her..."
"It's not that easy! I have a feeling she is in her room right now, still crying from what happened, I am sure of this...!"
MOURI DETECTIVE AGENCY
Shinichi's hunch was true. Ran is in her room and locked herself. Her tears was erased in her eyes but the sadness that covered her was limitlessly choking her world. She was asking herself why did Shinichi kept it a secret from her. What's his reason? His grounds? She was totally clueless of it.
"Shinichi lied to me for almost years...? Why, Shinichi...?" Ran whispered, as she sat sown on the floor, laying her back on the wall and tears started to flow on her face again. No matter how she look at it, Shinichi...kept a secret that she almost die to find out.
"Ran, open the door...!" Eri called, knocking at the door of her room. She never answered not until her father joined calling her. She opened the door at last.
She never withstood her feelings, she embraced her mother as she cried out her way. It must be a daughter to mother instict. How well Eri understood the situation her daugther now is.
Kogoro himself, wanted to face Shinichi about it. He wanted to confront him, shot at him, yell at him for those past years he was fooled by him. He decided into one thing, he must confront Shinichi!
He excused himself from Eri and Ran, he said he was just going to get some air but he lied. He went straightly to Shinichi's residence...and confront him. He wanted answers...reasons...settlements that will close the matter and stop the pain Ran is feeling right now. He thought it is his job as a father to at least help her daughter recover from the trauma she is now sufferring because of Shinichi.
SHINICHI'S HOUSE
"Professor, is Shinichi there...?" asked Kogoro, outside the door to where Agasa opened.
"He's here...."
"I need to talk to him....!"
Agasa had nothing to do to stop him. He welcomed him inside as he heard Kogoro shouted to call Shinichi.
As Kogoro enters Agasa's house, he was waiting for Shinichi, who was being called by Agasa. He nervously went down from the stairs to meet him. His nervousness almost reached his nerves, for it may be hard for him to know what may happen.
"Oji-san..." he uttered. Kogoro rushed and collared him. His anger furiously surprised Shinichi, but he understands why.
"You made Ran cry...! Why...I have trusted you because I know she loves you so much...whatever the secret that she had found out over you...isn't it not better for you to have told her before she is the one who have known it personally? Why must the secret be revealed by other means rather than you telling her...?" he exclaimed.
Shinichi bowed his head, while holding his collars when Kogoro pulled it down. "You don't understand...uncle..." were the words he left before he silently heard his heartbeat.
"Understand what, Shinichi? Will feigning ignorance be a solution for all you have caused? Look at Ran now, she is frustrated and is in a trauma of the heart breaking secret you have caused! Will keeping silence a solution to heal her heart!? Answer me...!"
Kogoro went out in his frustration of Shinichi's silence. He went home, hoping that Shinichi had understood Ran's grief and trauma....that he would soon come and ask for forgiveness to Ran. Agasa went back to where Shinichi was and talked to him. Shiho, on the other hand, was in a corner over there, looking at the depressed Shinichi. "The real Shinichi...would surely be back...because of what Oji-san did..."
HOURS LATER
Sonoko brought some pizzas for Ran, who was still silent and on her room. Kogoro and Eri welcomed her in and said she is still on a trauma on what happened. Before she was able to knock Ran's room, Shinichi was outside, pleading to come in. He was holding a paper and in it has the words written : "Ran, I am sorry".
"Would you let him in, uncle?" asked Sonoko.
"Wait till Ran decides..."
Sonoko called Ran to come out her room and look out the window. Ran silently opened her door's room and looked at the window. She saw the pity Shinichi, holding the papers saying he is sorry. Ran had her sharp eyes to Shinichi, signaling that she is still angry with him.
"Aren't you going to forgive him?" asked her mother.
"No way!" she replied. The rain started to pour out, but Shinichi never went in a shade and instead stayed there, holding still the paper. Sonoko saw Shinichi's deserving forgiveness. She nudged Ran through her shoulder and pointed at Shinichi outside. Ran irritatedly looked back at the window and saw Shinichi, who was there, cold, and waiting for her forgiveness. He was all wet and needs to get inside. Her mind is telling her 'no way' but her heart is saying 'i love shinichi, i must forgive him and he needs me now'. What among these two must she follow?
Her heart speaks! She hurriedly went down the stairs with her umbrella and goes to let Shinichi inside. Sonoko had her sarcastic smile and laugh. "Ha-ha...just like I thought...she can't stand looking at Shinichi like that...that guy seem to have learned drama tactics all the way...I wish Kyogoku and me was in the same situation..."
Kogoro looked at Sonoko and whispered.."You wish..." as he laughs. Shinichi was really wet, as Ran hurries to hear room and brought back towel with her for Shinichi.
Her heart spoke for what she really feels. She will forgive Shinichi and accept the truth that there might be a big reason for everything.
"Ran...this might be a little awkward but please...forgive me...all these days I have been thinking if I should task you but now my heart spoke for what I know is the truth...after all...one truth prevails, right?"
Ran silently listened to him. Shinichi held her hands as he asked for her to forgive him. Her feelings stayed with him, as if she is drowning seeing that Shinichi needs her.
"Shinichi...if heart is the basis for all my forgiveness...you've got my forgiveness...maybe there is no reason to tell but whatever you have kept so far...had I understand..."
"Shall we start afresh?"
"Yes..."
Kogoro and Eri smiled at each other as they looked at the two who showed their love together for a new life. Sonoko took a video of it on her cellphone as she smiled..."I will blog this! Blog blog blog!" she laughed.
There is no holding back...Shinichi embraces Ran, as Ran cries...not for sadness but for love. Ran suddenly became silent and wore off from embracing Shinichi.
"Wait a minute...if that's the case...if YOU are Conan...then when we went to Dad's Reunion....and when you took a bath with me on the Onsen....that means you....."
Shinichi raised his hands as if he was arrested. "I have no knowledge of that..." he laughed as he runs about. Ran catches her as Sonoko continued to video them. Laughter ended all the misery of Ran and Shinichi. Love proved their way, as the detective and his only love confessed together.
