Hello there! I can say you're really creative. You want to create a murder case fanfic eh? Interesting.
I have written a few fanfics about murder cases as well, but writing them was really hard. I first looked and read a few stories of Sherlock Holmes(which are really helpful), then create own ideas about what topic interest you. For example, own experience. If you experienced a murder case yourself, you can blend it with the ideas you imagined.
Read detective novels and you can create your own fanfic. A writer also reads written stories. They just don't write. If you want to be a good writer, you must read at the same time. Especially what topic you want to write is the topic you need to read.

It's not easy. You don't have to be just creative, you have to be patient. I tried it a few times, and I AM writing one which is going pretty well(I'm amazed it is actually going somewhere ) So I can advice: if you want your story to has authenticity, you have to do research on the latest things that involve crime investigations - latest technologies the police uses, the little tricks which are used by the sly criminals to not get detected by these technologies, where could they fail. Reading books alone isn't enough. I mean, I respect Sherlock Holmes, I've read some stories, I've read some Arsene Lupin novels as well, but you can sense the difference in the age. That which was exciting back then isn't very exciting now. And of course you have to know what happens in the head of the detective and in the head of the criminal, and hope it sounds logical to the readers ;D

It's not easy, but it is possible. The first thing and most important thing is to sketch out your crime. Plan out how the crime works, how the criminal tried to cover up his/her clues or what clues he/she left behind or how the criminalmanaged to create an alibi for him/her-self. And after you have that, it just takes some creativity and determination.
