I am. But I have a "HP season". Most of the year I don't care about HP - but when a movie comes out or, much better, a book - then I become a fan again in no time. = )

Haven't read any of the books because I am lazy... But I guess I'll go and watch the movie next week. I've heard the 5ft book is the best of all 6 that are published, so I hope the movie won't disappoint me much.

I'm interested in the 7th book, and plan to buy it as soon as it's available in the NL. OTOH, Janni, I wouldn't get my hopes up too much about the 5th HP movie. In my opinion "Order of the Phoenix" was ... seriously lacking, as far as character development goes, and I was bitterly disappointed at the time. The only good thing about that is that the movie can't be as bad as the book... Still, HP and the Half-Blood Prince made up for that, since it was quite good. I just hope the 7th book is just as good, if not better...

I think overall the movies have been good, but like with any other book turned movie, they cut parts I liked out -_-; I just saw the 5th last night, and I have to say it's my least favorite of the movies so far. The entire thing seemed very rushed, and new characters weren't really introduced. They just kinda seemed to show up then disappear again. One good thing it had going for it was that it did have its funny moments.
I can't wait for the 7th book. <3 for Snape! X3[/font]

I finished it day before yesterday... Well, technically *very* early yesterday morning... OTOH, if you wanna discuss it, I think it'd be best to start a new HP7 thread with warnings it contains spoilers...

There were things I liked and disliked about both of them. I liked that the connection between Harry and Voldie was explored more in the 5th book. We also found out more about the Ministry and what idiots they were. Like most governments. ^_^ For those who say that Harry was too whiny...though I will agree he acted like a whiny baby, I can see why his emotions would be all over the place. I don't think many people take into account what he's going through in the books. Yes, he could deal with it in a better way, but I know I'd be pitching a fit too if I saw someone die, was trying to tell the world the truth and kept being called crazy, and had to deal with a sadistic dictator-ish teacher who makes everything ten times worse. The 6th book was cool on the terms of finding out more about Voldemort, and having some character development. ...but the book focused WAY too much on the romance. Not that I mind romance here and there (especially in real life, as it's way better XD), but it seemed like most of the book was 'and so and so were snogging, and now so and so is dating this person'. There was just TOO MUCH of it. It seemed like a high school drama.
