I've tried the flute, it's a hard instrument to play... requires a lot air.
I'm ambidextrous, but I don't know how to play the piano since I could never do two different beats with two hands... kinda sad really. But I do play the clarinet and trumpet, and I hope one day to learn a double-reed instrument like the oboe, but those things are expensive.

^oboes make a funny sound...but you get use to it...my firend plays it...and it took me two years to get use to it...
im playing a clarinet,...and in a concert band...clarinets sit beside oboes...so i sat beside him...and the sound is funny..

People say that the oboe sounds like a duck... but I think it produces a beautiful sound. The clarinet sounds great in the low register, but anything above the break sounds pretty bad, for me at least.

I play the flute in my high school band My friend is better than me But I'm better than all the lowerclassmen And YES! The flute does take a lot of air! I can play better than the lowerclassmen, but they are ALL LouDer than me! Argh! Stupid small lungs! (and it doesn't help they all ['cept 1] have better marching fundamentals than me!) I know a guy who switched from flute to sousaphone (huge tuba you march with) and he claimed that the flute took a LOT more air.

flute takes a LOT of air..probably the most air in all instruments...
thats cuz half the air you blow out [unless you take private lessons and knows how to breath properly]....will end up being outside of the instrument...
hehe...i love the sousaphone...what if you are relaly fat...and you get stuck?!?

Oh wow, another thing in common. I play piano, ever since i was 4 (bout 11 years ago). I passed my grade 8 exam late last year.
I don't really like Piano tho I'm good at it...
I play the violin now, tho I only aim to play it for school orchestras and go on music trips and tours ^.^
