Anyone ever heard of World of Harue? It was given to my friend as a gift, otherwise I never woulda know about it, but it's really cute! Sadly short, but I liked it a lot. It totally pulled away from the stereotypical characters and plots.[/font]

Hmmm... Is that maybe "Narue's World"? The one in which the guy gets an almost alien as a girlfriend? (and no, not the one where a guy marries his alien teacher... ;-) )

Yeah I'll bet that's the one then. In which the guy almost gets eaten by an alien plant in one of the first episodes IIRC. I liked the anime, but the manga I didn't like enough to get more than the first one or two volumes of.
