I know this has come up before only it was someone asking for the cuss words filter. I'm not saying that you should use it. (That thing is crap anyway.) But no one follows rule 5 anyway! I know I've been known to let slip some words too but now I'm starting to see it everywhere. It's like no one knows this rule is even around. So I say either get rid of this rule or enforce it. I mean geez why have a rule if no one (not even mods) is going to follow it?
FYI - I don't mean all the mods when I said that.
------------------------- 5. No Offensive Language: Yes, s/he annoys you. "Oh s/he makes me so mad!" There are some members who are younger and are not used to seeing a ***** and a ******** every two words. Or even older members who wish not to see such vulger words. Yes, even I, am guilty of letting a **** drop but it's time to cut back. Respect others wishes. Do it once and get a warning. Twice, have the post deleted. Three times and you have woken a sleeping dragon. In other words, BANNINATION! ---------------------------

Ironic how I was just thinking about this earlier. We really are twins. ;D Personally, I believe you should be allowed to say whatever you like... .-. Freedom of teh speech... besides, and you're right; we don't even have the language filters turned on. (Blocks things into f***er and stuff). Personally I'd like them on.
Besides, I know there are some pre-teens here and stuff, but ya know... the required age is 13. Not that cussing is supported, I just think it's blown out of proportion when you say one little word. I have to watch what I say on here now, and I feel as if one of my rights has been taken away. I say enforce teh dang filter... that way I can type freely and others as well.
I honestly dun think anything will be done about it though, twin. Most likely over 56% of the members and staff here will oppose it.

I wasn't saying that the filter needs to be turned on. What I was saying was that if no one really listens to rule 5 why have it? I mean some new member might look at the rules and then see a mod cuss and think "They don't listen to their own rules. Why should I?"

Sorry Angie, but I am so so so sooooo tired of sifting through threads and modifying their posts if the say one little word. It's annoying and a waste of time for me. Plus, I don't know if any of the other mods do that so it's little old me against the cussing world. I have other rules to enforce and I get sick of warning members about this. They never get banned so they probably figure mean old Tui will chew you out for some trivial thing but that's it. All bark and no bite. -_-x

This doesn't affect me one bit. ;D I can say what I want to in Spanish and the censor cannot stop it and nobody here understands me. WOOOH...I feel like a free man for once.

If that's the case, I might just censor it or delete it myself if you feel so confident about getting by the filters with another language. By all means, go ahead... I know spanish, so good luck with that mister.

If I need to say somthing that I don't want the younger members reading, there is no problem with me using my second language as a resource. I'm sure you would see it the same way if it was for you. No quiero dice nada peor que mierda y carajo. Puedes visto ahora?

Btw, she's a girl, so it must be "señorita" and not "señor", right? :b

Look under your "Greatest Avatar of all time" And it lists the gender. -_- By the way, if I see anyone cussing in any language you are banned. -_-x

^.^ Spanish is one language that is easy to learn, and are pretty common around sites like these. I myself know 3 languages, including Spanish. So lets just leave the cussing to yourself and not offend the people that understands it. (Spanish is my third language, so i'm pretty limited. Second is English.) ^.^

i think we should keep this rule (or have u got rid of it already?). i dont think that many people here want to see several offensive languages in a discussion. It's not necessary to use those offensive words anyway, u can share ur opinions without using them, and it's also annoying to see someone saying "focker" or "asshat" for example, especially if it's a mod who does it. what would u feel if someone said those stuff to u? u'd probably say that to them too and then the discussion would become an argument.
Many members here follow the rules. If some don't, they should be punished in some way, i dont think it's really right to cancel a rule if someone ignores it. u should instead enforce it. moreover, according to what spiritgal said("some new member might look at the rules and then see a mod cuss"), the mods should also follow the rules. I see that most of them do very good jobs.
EDIT: was i too late to say it - -"
