You know, it makes me wonder. Does Shinichi actually want to capture Kaitou Kid? I mean think about it. Shinichi has figured out that most of the stuff Kaitou Kids steal is to actually help someone else. (remember the clock tower?) And if someone is in dagner, Kid would abandon what he's doing and quickly rush to help. (example: movie 8, although it turned out to be Conan's trick. Nice one, might I add! lol)
I think Shinichi just want's to find out who's behind the monocle(sp).
and yes, Kaitou Kid is the hero of the year ;D
