*meep* wrong direction. This is where you should be looking if you want to know who KID's "ancestors" were: Arsène Lupin by Maurice Leblanc and, especially, 'The fiend with 20 faces'(kaijin nijuu mensou) by Edogawa Rampo. And don't forget to watch Lupin the 3rd while you're at it.

Or like they ride horses.
Now find out Tuxedo Mask's character inspiration.

Yeah, I can see your point. There's the top hat and the cape, Tuxedo shoots roses and KID shoots cards, then there's the fancy shades and the monocle. . . Oh and speaking of origins, here's something interesting. The following extract was taken out of www.audible.com on the book Raffles by E.W.Hornung, remind you of anyone? Publisher's Summary
Raffles is Sherlock Holmes' polar opposite, a foil for great detectives and a man with all the immoral charms of a hero-thief, plus a remarkable ability at cricket. Raffles is the godson of Robin Hood, the model for Cary Grant in "To Catch a Thief," and the inspiration of Leslie Charteris' "The Saint." As the great reinvention of the trickster for the 20th century, Raffles convinces readers to throw away their scruples and follow along for wit, bold adventures, and thrilling suspense. Perhaps it's fitting that Hornung's character Raffles is often compared with Sherlock Holmes, since E.W. Hornung was the brother-in-law of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle!

*Grumbles* I know you're smart enough to work out what I mean, geez. Okay, I just thought it was kinda interesting that Gosho partly based Shinichi on Conan Doyle's Sherlock, while our friend Raffles here, (being an expert hero thief who steals for the sport) bares resemblance to Gosho's Kaito. Infact, it was Doyle who actually convinced Hornung to create Raffles in the first place. I thought if you look at it that way, he's closer to Kaito than Tuxedo. I mean those two dress kinda the same but that's about it (pardon me Zato.)

Tuxedo mask is a romantic guy to Usagi.... Kid isn't a romantic guy to Aoko in general but when it was special for Aoko... he become a romantic person.... ;D as like in Magic Kaitou volume 3 when Aoko birthday scene... Kid also has humour much more..... He's funny.... the way he fought with Yaiba make me laughed..... ;D ;D
