yup, it usually means 'great' or 'good', but when i look in the dictionary, there are lots of meanings, and 'horrible' and 'terrible' are sugoi's meaning too. sugoi is actually kind of like the english word "very". Just like in English, you could you "sugoi" for bad and good. "sugoku warui" would be very bad, wihle "sogoku ii" would be very good. You could also use "sugoi" when you are amazed. In 8th movie, when the children at amazed at the sunset view, you hear Genta and Shinichi *cough* I mean Kid say "Sugee" or "Sugoi" (sugee is same as "sugoi", just different way of saying it, depends on person). Hope that helps?

what is 'datte' and 'omotteta'? what is 'iro'? when should we use 'ga'? what is 'and' in Japanese? poor vocabulary,eh?! No no! I like it when Some one is specific like this ;D ;D Datte~! is like "But" or "But Still!" Like when Conan is trying to tell some one something but he says some thing like Datte Okashiiyo! - But its still weird!/ But Thats weird! Omotteta I think you mean by "I Thought so"/ Thought Datte so omou?- But dont you think so? Sou omotteta yo!- I thought so too! iro= Color And if you want to say the color red you say Akairo ((Unless you mean "Iru" Then that means "It's There" Koko ni iru- "Its right here")) "And" in Japanese is 'to' ga... I'll try to find some examples soon ^^; hard to explain ;D

i need some explanation about... when to use ikimasu when to use kimashita when to use kimasen when to use kimasen deshita somebody help me..... Ikimasu Is like "Im going!" Like when you leave the house. And you can be with another person so it would be like "we're going" kimashita is like "It/they came!" kimansen i havent really heard...But i'm thinking Kimasen is "It didN'T come" Masen makes it mean the opposite (but i never really heard it like this ^^') With deshita its just a more polite / repectible way of saying it(I think)
