Real Magician. In Detective Conan, things are more logical, there's almost always an explination for something. But in Magic Kaito... things are more random. Seriously, do you think he carrys a Kid costume under a tight scuba outfit, just in case the ship happens to explode due to pirates? Where would he fit the top hat? Besides, it's a lot more enjoyable sometimes to let logic go hang itself and just -believe- in the impossible. ^____^

I'm partial to thinking Kaito is the sleight-of-hand type of magician.... with benefits. Because with some of the stunts he's pulled, there's just no *way* he could have been able to set up beforehand. (Namely the spur-of-the-moment ones...) In Detective Conan, things are more logical, there's almost always an explination for something. But in Magic Kaito... things are more random. Agreed. DC Kid and MK Kid are.... well, the same but different. DC Kid really seems to be a more scientifically-oriented (or, at least, sleight of hand oriented) and fits better with his seemingly serious (well, more serious than in MK) nature in Detective Conan, while MK Kid is random and crazy and could be a "real" wizard because the non-scientific nature of Magic Kaito allows for more.... variety. Seriously, do you think he carrys a Kid costume under a tight scuba outfit, just in case the ship happens to explode due to pirates? Where would he fit the top hat? Well, some varieties of top hats are collapsible, sooooo..... perhaps the hat got an up-close and personal view of the inside of said wetsuit? (Or maybe, ignoring the fact that he didn't look so before becoming Kid, Kaito is secretly scrawny, and pads all his clothing with Kid's suit to appear larger than he really is! Bwahaha!)

The kid suits are thin silk. You could hide multiple outfits in a very very small area. Same trick used in Jeffrey Deaver's book "The Vanished Man".

XP but if it's funny then I won't really care about logic XD

well, magician or not, he used a lot of deduction in DC.. the golden eye and casefile545, ...like chat noir suggested in golden eye, he sounded more like a detective than a thief. maybe there should be a section in the poll that says : detective? ...lol

...scientist? I didn't even came across one instance that he's doing those things themselves. Or he's just electively not of pay any attention to that...

I think many of Kaitou's tricks were invented by his father, and he's just copying him without the full ingenuity needed to invent such tricks. He's good, but not Toichi good.
